The Band Parents Organization, Terrell High School staff, and students put on the annual event to raise money for the band program. This year, more than $2,500 was raised. The money will help pay for concert uniforms, scholarships and travel for the band.
“The community response was very positive,” said Julie Kuhn, TISD staff member and one of the organizers of the ball. “Awesome work was done by the Jazz Ball Parent Committee and the band students to make the entire evening a success.”
If you missed this event, you can still see a performance by the THS Jazz Band. They, along with guest vocalist Tracy Jordan, will be the entertainment at the British Flying Training School Museum Hangar Dinner and Dance, March 28 in the Madix Hangar at the Terrell Municipal Airport.
Thank you for your support of these hardworking students and their love for the arts!
