“To do so well at a competition season for the first time speaks volumes of the students and Mr. Ascano,” John Young, TISD Director of Bands and Fine Arts said. “The established programs present at the event demanded a very high-performance level; the Cadet Guard did exactly that."
The FMS Cadet Winterguard competed against 12 other units, including groups from Keller ISD, Southlake Carrol ISD, and Mansfield ISD.
“Many of the programs we competed against have been in existence for several seasons,” Nathan Ascano, Colorguard Director shared. “To medal in our inaugural year sets the bar extremely high for future years.”
The members of the FMS Cadet Winterguard include: Jade Self, Jonathan Stanley, Cheyenne Calder, Natalie Caldwell, Crystal Campa, Tiffany Harris, Jessica Huerta , Da’Ron Phillips, Gabriela Rangel, Kaylee Roseberry, Princess Saballero, Rhianna Soto, Michelle Valle, Jayden Williamson, Adam Zapote, and Colorguard Director, Nathan Ascano.
Congratulations to this group of dedicated individuals on their incredible success this season!
