"When I interviewed with Dr. Gomez for the position of Director of Bands and Fine Arts, I knew he had a passion for the Arts,” shared Young. “More importantly, I could see his passion for serving our community and the students of Terrell ISD.”
Young, who joined Terrell ISD in the 2018-2019 school year, continued by sharing that he had a fantastic first-year experience with the District, largely crediting Gomez for his instrumental role in the continued success of the Fine Arts programs.
“Dr. Gomez's has consistently supported our Fine Arts programs, from helping secure additional funding, to the addition of a second middle school visual art teacher, and the updating of facilities,” said Young. “He is supportive of our vision for the TISD Fine Arts Department and open-minded to new ideas. I know that Dr. Gomez will represent the standards that are set forth to receive the T.M.E.A. Distinguished Administrator Award.”
Dr. Jason Gomez has served as the Terrell ISD Deputy Superintendent since the summer of 2013. Congratulations Dr. Gomez on this award and thank you for your continued service to our students and community.
