“We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Toy to the Terrell Tiger family,” said Dr. Georgeanne Warnock, Terrell ISD Superintendent. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role, and we look forward to benefiting from his leadership expertise.”
Toy, who holds a Master of Education Administration from the University of North Texas and will graduate with his Doctorate in Education in the Fall of 2022 from the University of North Texas, began his 22-year tenure in education as a choir director for R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD. Following six years in the classroom, Toy moved into his first administrative role as an assistant principal in 2005. He subsequently served as an associate principal for four years, followed by his lead principal role.
Toy expressed that his passion for his work in education is rooted in relationships.
“I look forward to building strong relationships with the Terrell High School staff, students, and community while continuing to build off of the positive things already taking place.” Toy shared. “Together, we are going to make great things happen for our students.”
Amy Toy, Toy’s wife, will also be joining Terrell ISD as the Secondary Science Curriculum Coordinator. The Toys have been married for 23 years, and together have two wonderful daughters, Alexa and Addison. Alexa is a 2021 graduate and will be attending Abilene Christian University in the fall to study nursing, and Addison will be joining the Terrell Tiger family as a Terrell High School Sophomore.
Toy will begin his role as the Terrell High School Principal this summer. Congratulations Mr. Toy, and welcome to the Tiger Family.
