The conference theme this year was "You've got a PAL in me". The THS PAL’s competed in the "Making a PAL Scene" skit competition and were awarded 2nd place overall.
"I am so proud of the hard work these scholars put in this weekend and the weeks leading up to the conference,” said PAL’s Advocate, Veronica Johnson. “They represented well among a group of the best and the brightest! This weekend was a game changer for our program, and I can't wait to see the difference they continue to make in our campuses and community."
The students are excited to return to the elementary campuses this week to apply what they have learned with their PAL’s.
“This was my first PAL’s conference and I am so glad I got the chance to experience this my senior year,” said THS senior PAL Arlene Herrera. “After all of the line dancing and singing, we got to participate in many workshops hosted by different schools. It was an amazing conference overall and I can’t wait to visit my PAL’s and use the tools I learned at the conference!”
Thank you to all of our PAL’s for giving back to our students and community.
