THS Theatre Program Advances to Bi-District  Contest

Terrell High School’s Theatre production of Over the River and Through the Woods advanced to the Bi-District competition after placing in the top 3 at the District One Act Play contest held on March 7, 2019 at Poteet High School. 
THS cast and crew members who received individual honors are Breeann Wallace, All Star Tech; Scy’Kyrea Wilcots, All Star Cast; and Kenneth Mayo, Honorable Mention.

“Countless hours of work have gone into this show,” Sheresa Tuggle, THS Theatre Director said. “Our students did an exceptional job at competition, bringing both laughter and a sense of poignancy to the audience.”
 
John Young, TISD Director of Bands and Fine Arts said that his third time watching the show did not disappoint. “It was an incredible performance! It was hilarious, emotional, and more importantly entertaining,” said Young. “The audience, including myself, was completely absorbed; bravo!”


The play, Over the River and Through the Woods is both a heartfelt and hilarious story that touts the importance of family. Adirel Terrazas, a THS Junior who plays the lead character, Nicholas Cristano, shared that this play will forever hold a special place in his heart.

“The process of putting this show together has been such a fun and thrilling experience,” said Terrazas. “I have the best cast and crew by my side, and we have three amazing directors who challenge us in fun and creative ways.”
 
Terrell High School will compete in the Bi-District One Act Play contest on Tuesday, March 26 at Poteet High School. Congratulations to the entire cast, crew, and directing team on this outstanding accomplishment, and good luck next week!
 
Cast, crew, and directors include: Adriel Terrazas, Kennth Mayo, Scy’Kyrea Wilcots, Jerry Ingram, MacKenzie Yarbrough, Peyton Thompson, Erasmo Urioste, Breeann Wallace, Adamari Guzman, Aubri Prestridge, Nayeli Meza, Isabel Fererras, Sheresa Tuggle, Brant Davis, and Michael Arndt.
