“I am very excited for both of these exceptional administrators,” said Micheal French, Terrell ISD Superintendent. “I believe they will propel these programs to the next level of academic achievement and success.”
Tiffany Swain, who holds a Master of Science in Education from Texas A&M University Commerce, began her eight-year career in education at TISD. She spent five years in the classroom as a fourth and fifth grade elementary teacher and the last three years as the Assistant Principal for Gilbert Willie Sr. Elementary. Swain will begin the 2019-2020 school year as the Director of the Global Leadership Academy, TISD’s new innovative kindergarten through fifth grade campus.
“Although I will miss my GWE family, I am beyond excited for this new opportunity,” Swain shared. “I look forward to transitioning into my position as Director of GLA and am committed to providing students with a unique and innovative learning experience.”
Raquel Villarreal, who earned her Master of Science in Bilingual Education and principal certification from Texas A&M University Kingsville, has faithfully served as the principal for W.H. Burnett Early Childhood Center for the last four years. Villarreal, a 28-year education veteran, brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role as the principal of Gilbert Willie Sr. Elementary School.
“I am honored to join the team at GWE, but I am going miss my W.H. Burnett babies, families, and staff deeply,” Villarreal said. “I love this wonderful Terrell community and am dedicated to serving the best students, staff, and parents in the world!”
Congratulations to these two exceptional administrators.
