John Young, Director of Bands and Fine Arts commented, “this is an excellent start to having our band students continue striving for high expectations in their musicianship.”
Participating in the UIL Solo and Ensemble contest demands a lot of work and commitment from the student musicians and involves extra out of class practice and collaboration with the directors. Many of the solos are college level and require great dedication and musical expertise.
“I am extremely proud of these specific students for choosing to put forth the extra time to improve their musical abilities and play in front of a judge,” said Young. “This takes a lot of confidence and fortitude. Congratulations to all of these wonderful Terrell band students.”
