“The distinctions earned, and the progress made on our state test scores are a direct reflection of our dedicated teachers and staff,” TISD Superintendent Micheal French said. “We have asked a lot of our teachers over the past two years, and they have stepped up their instruction in order to better serve our students. I am so proud of both our educators and our students.”
In order to earn distinctions, campuses are placed in comparison groups with 40 other schools based on student demographics, mobility rate, and grade levels served. Distinctions are earned based on the number of indicators by category the school scores in the top quartile of the comparison group. TISD campuses earned the following distinctions:
Terrell High School
- Academic Achievement in English Language Arts/Reading
- Academic Achievement in Mathematics
- Top 25 Percent: Student Progress
- Top 25 Percent: Closing Performance Gaps
- Top 25 Percent: Student Progress
- Academic Achievement in Science
As a school district, our focus continues to be increasing student achievement in all areas. Our commitment to excellence in the classroom is unwavering. We are excited by the progress our students and teachers have made thus far, and we look forward to continued academic growth.
