Assistant Principal Alicia Thurston recently came up with a way to display not only their school pride, but also their patriotism. Now, a giant American flag now hangs in the entrance of the school – but it’s not your typical stars and stripes. This flag is made up of pictures of the students and staff of JFK. Mrs. Thurston saw a similar project online and brought in a picture to see if it could be replicated.
“We are proud of our school, staff and students. This was a great way to show off that pride,” Principal Renee Jones said. “Students walking by love to look for their picture and point out their friends and teachers as they find them. Parents and staff also enjoy the flag, and marvel at the impressive size of the project.”
Next time you’re near the campus, make sure you stop in for visit and find out why JFK is “The Best School In The USA!”
