“We are thrilled to see Ms. Hayes step into the Executive Director role and continue her incredible work supporting our special needs students and their families,” shared Dr. Georgeanne Warnock, Terrell ISD Superintendent. “She has a long track record of success, and we look forward to what she will bring to this position.”
Hayes began her career in education as a Special Education teacher in Edgewood ISD in 1996. Over the past 27 years she has worked in Van Zant/Rains, Wills Point ISD and Terrell ISD as a diagnostician, 504 Coordinator, and Director of Special Services.
“I am eager and excited to continue the leadership of a strong social services program that passionately serves and supports our special needs students and families,” shared Hayes. “I look forward to creating meaningful partnerships with our parents to equip their students with all the tools necessary to be prepared for college, careers, and a productive and fulfilling life beyond graduation.
Hayes will take the baton from Terrell ISD’s current Executive Director of Special Services Debi Rogers. Rogers, who has served the students of Terrell ISD for 41 years will retire this Spring.
