“We are thrilled to name Mrs. Schleter as Principal of W.H. Burnett,” shared Dr. Georgeanne Warnock, Terrell ISD Superintendent. “She has served closely with Mrs. Nichols since last spring and will be able to seamlessly continue the current momentum and positive direction of the campus.”
Schleter, who is a third-generation principal for a Kaufman County school district, holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M University and a Master in Principal Administration from Lamar University. She has spent 22 years in education and has served as a pre-k, kindergarten, and second grade teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal in districts that include Coppell, Ennis, and Irving ISD. Schleter also spent a year as a W.H. Burnett kindergarten teacher in 2004.
Although her career has taken her to districts across the metroplex, Schleter shares that Terrell has always felt like home.
“I have lived in Terrell for close to twelve years and it is wonderful to finally be calling Terrell ISD home,” shared Schleter. “Early childhood education is my passion, and I am excited to continue the incredible work and momentum established by the previous WHB team.”
Schleter is grateful for the support of her loving husband Robert, and her children Cameron, Adam, and Nicole, and grandson, Noah.
Congratulations on Mrs. Schleter!
